DAY ONE:
(Cusco – Quiswarani – Juchuyqasa Pass – Cuncani)
Our imposing hiking tour of Lares starts when you are collected from your hotel at 6:00 am, then a fascinating bus ride takes us to the departure point Quiswarani. We start hiking up Queña Qocha, enjoying lunch break for one and a half hours. Afterwards, we continue for another hour and a half to the Juchuyqasa pass.The views are stunning of the Sawasiray snow capped mountain and down below are spectacular lakes flanked by high hills. Two hours lower is our first base camp, Cuncani indigenous town.
DAY TWO:
(Cuncani – Pumawanca Pass – Cuyo One – Cuyo Two)
Our second day journey starts early with breakfast. We then strat our climb up Pumawanca pass, a four hour hike of incredible scenery. A colourful lake stands out in the rocks and a paved stone path leads us nearby Pumawanca snow capped Urubamba range. The views of the Inca Sacred Valley are incredible; it looks like a heaven. Down below is a dark green polylepis forest and Cuyo one lunch spot one hour from the pass. In the afternoon there is a short hike for one hour to the base camp Cuyo two.
DAY THREE
(Cuyo Two – Cuyo Three – Paqchanta – Aguas Calientes)
Our easier day starts by enjoying an early breakfast. Afterwards, we start our descent to Cuyo three, under polylepis trees, for one hour. A further two hours hike down is Paqchanta indigenous village and Inca ruins. A furher three hours hike brings us to Urubamba to catch the bus to Yanahura. Our bus ride to Yanahura lunch spot is for one hour. In the afternoon we take a train from Ollanta station to Aguas Calientes Overnight at hotel.
DAY FOUR
(Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu Sunrise & Tour – Cusco)
Our day starts early in the morning we take the first bus at 6:00 am to visit Machupicchu and enjoy the sunrise. It is fascinating to watch the sun rise over the astronomical observatories and Incan Temples. Indeed, a very important natural phenomenon for farming, religion and festivities celebration. After sunrise, we start our guided tour, walking and visiting each section of the grand city of the Incas. This is a meeting with the Inca legacy and energy, connected step by step in each enclosure, temple, altar and with nature. Machupicchu is incredible in any season.
After the tour. In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco by train. we ended up leaving you in your hotel.
End of service.
If you overnight in Aguas Calientes we arrange everything for the day after.
