DAY ONE:
CUSCO – PLAYA ROSALINA
Our grand spiritual hike, and very attractive alternative to the classical Inca trail, starts by collecting you from your Hotel at 5:00 a.m. It is a spectacular drive along a paved route, passing through native farmer villages taking us to Cachora (3:30 to 4:00 hours drive aprox). On the way we visit Tarawasy Inca ruins, and then continuing along the turbulent Apurimac River on our right, we reach to Cachora at 9:00 a.m., the starting point of our hike and breakfast point. We start climbing up Wayna Calli Grande view point, part of the Choquequirao complex and Vilcabamba range, afterwards we descend through to our first base camp of Playa Rosalina.
DAY TWO:
PLAYA ROSALINA – SANTA ROSA - CHOQUEQUIRAO
Our grand adventure day starts by waking up at 5:00 am. We pack up before breakfast, and then we pass to visit the sugar cane liqueur distillatory in San Rosa. Our day two is up and down hill, indeed, it is a challenging day, surrounded of beautiful flora and fauna. We lunch at Maranpata. In the afternoon, we have a one hour hike through Choquequirao and guided visit of each section. We stay here, camping over night..
DAY THREE:
CHOQUEQUIRAO – SANTA ROSA – CHIQUISCA
Our special morning starts getting up to watch the sunrise, pack up and then breakfast. Afterwards we start descending to Santa Rosa, where we will have lunch and rest for a little while. In the afternoon we continue to Chiquisca, our third base camp.
DAY FOUR:
CHIQUISCA – CACHORA – CUSCO
Our last day starts waking up around 6:00 am, pack up, breakfast and then we hike up Wayna Qalli Grande pass, enjoying panoramic views of the Apurimac canyon, considered the most spectacular canyon in South America. In the afternoon we return to Cusco by bus. We ended up leaving you in your hotel.
